Hello! What a great time I had and just made it home back to San Diego! I began my trip up to Northern California starting in Eureka; cruising my way down south down California. I had many opportunities to meet great people, complete some unforgettable interviews, did many film shootings. I also participated in social activities and even surfed! What an amazing trip! I traveled 2318 miles on this journey. It was a tremendous experience.
Now, am I satisfied with my films, interviews and research? No! Of course not, there is more to do! I still need to cover Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego locals deaf surfers waiting to be tapped and taped. Come on and get in contact with me to make this happen! I checked upon my collection and still have many more interview waiting to be discovered. If I could incorporate your share of experiences to make this film outstanding then lets check my schedule to get in touch with me to make this possible. I’m available to meet with you by appointment anytime in September and October.
With your strong support and, valuable experience to share a great wealth of information, together we can make Deaf Surf history! Awesome!

Welcome to the Deaf Surf History website! I’m Jon Savage. What’s up with this new website? Let me give you a brief explanation. I’ve been surfing for long time. I am Deaf and I have always been into history. I’ve met many Deaf surfers out there. I really enjoy their stories and sharing pictures and films with them. Now I wonder if the world will enjoy the history of Deaf surfers. I’m anxious to collect their stories and make a documentary film to show to the world. In the near future there will more coming on this website!
